The 5k Family Walk/Run will be held Saturday, April 21st, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. at Prairie Trail on State Street. Entry fees are $20.00 plus $5.00 with T-shirt. Proceeds benefit the Ankeny Fire Department.
The Run/Walk will start at Cascade Falls parking lot. After leaving the parking lot the course will wind back and forth thru the neighborhood returning at the parking lot.
Information pickup/Late registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at Cascade Falls. Cascade Falls is located at 2350 SW Prairie Trail Parkway.
MACC works together to better themselves and part of their community. Several years ago MACC started a 501(c))3) foundation with just a hope to help. Since then they’ve helped a lot of people and charities, including Boys and GIrls Club, JoAnn Milby Animal Sanctuary, Cambridge/Elkhart/Madrid Fire Departments, Hope Ministries, Alpha Women’s Center Ankeny, Relevant Church of God, Bradley’s Miracle Fund, Food Pantry of Ankeny, ALS and other individuals in the area. Their Run/Walk is different because it travels from town to town. In the town they hold it in they help the local fire department with a generous donation. This year it is being held at Ankeny’s Prairie Trail.
