Possible hotel for Prairie Trail
The new 57,000-square-foot FFA enrichment center may attract a new hotel and conference center to Prairie Trail in Ankeny. Ted Rapp, development coordinator for DRA Properties, said the site developer has been in contact with a number of firms that may be interested in the lot west of the FFA enrichment center for a hotel.
The Ankeny Plan and Zoning Commission approved the 15-acre parcel for commercial use on Sept. 18.
